Reconciled joins in celebrating the life of Gary Miller. Gary was a special guy to us. Not only was he instrumental in engineering our EP album, he was such an encouragement! He complemented us. He encouraged us to keep up singing. He also bugged us about returning to Keith Lancaster's Praise and Harmony recording sessions. Or he would ask, "so you're coming back to Acafest, right?"
Keith Lancaster has several blog posts with pictures about Gary. Also there are Facebook groups, "Vocal Union" and "Remembering Gary Miller" where you can post memories of Gary online.
From the Vocal Union website: "Gary was the sole income earner for the Miller family, and his truly selfless dedication to ministering to others through music was not a lucrative proposition. As a result, he was unfortunately unable to afford life insurance policy premiums. There are many immediate expenses that will need to be taken care of in the next week regarding medical services and funeral arrangements, and several other ongoing expenses that Gary’s wife Debbie will now be facing without his help." For more information on helping the Miller family, visit vocalunion.com.
The Acappella Company is also offering a special Gary Miller Collection, 43 songs written or co-written by Gary for $50. Visit http://www.acappella.org/vocalunion/garymillerproject for more information.
Gary was just such a wonderful person. We will certainly miss him, but he's now home where he belongs.
Here are a few pictures with our short time with Gary:
